Odette Mascarenhas is into management consultancy, and has a passion for writing. This is her fifth book, and third on Goan food. Her literary efforts have won her the special award of the jury at the 2008 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for her very first book *Masci -- The Man Behind the Legend* (2004). Masci is the story of the greatest chef Goa (the former Portuguese colony on the west coast of India) has ever produced. After the success of Masci, she authored *A Cullinary Escapade of Goa* (2010), which also won the 'Best in India' award in its category. She has written two books for children, and hosts a popular TV food series on Goa365, a local channel.
